Built from the operational reality of online businesses.

DSJ was established in 2020 around a specific observation: digital businesses don't fail at strategy. They fail at execution capacity. The work that keeps platforms running - the campaigns, the content, the IT, the customer correspondence - is always there, always growing, and never quite worth a full-time hire until it suddenly is.

We built our model around that gap. Not a consultancy writing recommendations. Not a freelancer roster taking ad-hoc gigs. A structured operational partner taking on defined scopes under formal agreements, executing through a network of specialists, and billing transparently on documented hours.

The model has been refined across long-term client relationships. The contractual template is the same, the billing structure is the same, the documentation discipline is the same. Specialists are engaged under structured agreements aligned with the same standards we apply to client engagements - hourly compensation, documented scope, defined communication routines.

This structure gives us coverage breadth without single-point dependencies. When a client's monthly mix shifts from heavy SEO toward urgent IT support, we mobilise capacity from within the network. The client doesn't manage the resource shuffle. They get one accountable contracting party - DSJ - and one consolidated billing cycle.

Internally, this model means we can hold more client relationships at depth than a fixed-team consultancy could. Externally, it means clients get the responsiveness of a senior specialist without paying for full-time idle capacity.

How we run engagements.

Single contracting entity

All client engagements are signed by DSJ Business Consulting LLC as the sole contracting party. Specialists working on engagements operate under their own agreements with DSJ. Clients deal with one entity, one invoice, one accountable party.

Confidentiality framework

Standard confidentiality terms apply across all engagements, covering client information, operational data, and project specifics. Terms run for seven years from end of engagement, or indefinitely for sensitive categories. Separate NDAs available where clients require them.

Documented acceptance discipline

Every billing period closes with a Service Acceptance Protocol documenting delivered hours and confirming acceptance. Invoices issued only after the protocol is signed. Over time clients accumulate a clean operational record of what was delivered, when, and at what cost.
